The journey began in 1992, when Prof. Dr. Gerd Kobal, a sensory research expert, developed these unique tools for clinical studies on olfactory and gustatory deficits. Prof. Kobal, along with his laboratory team, initially handcrafted these sticks to present specific scents to test subjects.

Our rapid growth led to a strategic collaboration with Burghart Messtechnik GmbH to meet the burgeoning demand and introduce serial production. Although initially sold as cosmetic articles, the increasing adoption of our products in clinical environments necessitated higher standards and led to our medical approval acc. MDR 2017/745  since 2010.

This milestone facilitated the expansion of our product range, introducing add-ons and special tests, which further boosted the worldwide use of our sticks. By 2015, ODOFIN products started marking their presence in various sectors, including the food and perfume industries, establishing us as the global gold standard for applications related to smell and taste.

Our long-term partner, Burghart Messtechnik GmbH, has been pivotal in distributing ODOFIN products across the USA. Recognizing the escalating demand in this market, we decided to enhance our local presence. We're thrilled to announce our collaboration with Mr. Steve Yarcusko, our local sales representative.
